Loaded assets from various sources are displayed in the Asset section of your AG instance.
This Assets section allows you to view and search for assets by any attribute, including custom labels. This interface also allows you to select a particular set of asset and add them to your Clipboard for batch editing, True-Up, or Service Contract Change Requests.
To view the assets, go to "Assets" and select "Assets" from main menu. Then you can see the Summary view of the assets and the Search tool at the left.
You can search Assets from Search Tool at the left side of the Asset section. It has several attributes including custom fields to accurate your search criteria. Your searched result can be exported from "Export All" or "Export Page" at the bottom of the search results.
Select the Asset's ID to view all the details of an asset and it allows you to take the following actions:
You can edit the selected asset's attributes from "Edit Asset Info".
You can add this selected asset to a parent by using "Link to Parent".
You can add this selected asset as a parent by using "Link to Child".
You can use "Asset Notes" section to add some information related to the selected Asset.
Select the "Add Note" button from top of the actions or you can select the + icon in front of the "Asset Notes" section in asset detail page.
You can attach documents related to the selected asset by using "Add Attachment".
You can delete Assets from "Delete Asset" action. Confirmation message appears when you select the "Delete Asset" button. Click OK to delete the asset from the Asset General or you can cancel it by clicking on "Cancel".
You can add coverage(s) to the assets using "Add Coverage". Select the Add Coverage, fill the details in pop up view and hit the button to add coverage to the selected asset.
You can add the selected asset to an existing quote or a new quote from "Add to Quote" in asset detail view.
Help tickets can create for an asset by selecting "Create Help Ticket" in available actions.
The Events can add to the Assets from "Create Events". Scroll down the asset detail page to see the saved events at the "Asset Events" section.
You will find the Asset Details > System View link next to the Asset Details header.
With System View you will be able to see all Child Assets (ex. Disks in a Drive Assembly) associated with the main product as well as any Coverage Items associated with the main product as well as Child (sub) products.
Note: You can now add Parent Assets as well as Child Assets to an Asset using the Link to Parent and Link To Child buttons on the Asset Detail page.
When linking to a Parent you can now also search by Asset Tag as one of the choices, although Asset Id is the most direct way to search for an Asset to link.
Active Management allows you to track financial information, upgrades, repairs, and other things such as Asset expenses and events from asset detail page.
Asset Change Log shows the date and time of any change made to the selected Asset and the person who made the change. It also shows the attribute changed, what it was changed from, and what it was changed to.
